Three years ago, OCTA broke ground on the I-405 Improvement Project. The $2.08 billion I-405 Improvement Project is adding one regular lane in each direction between Euclid Street and I-605, and a second lane in each direction in the center of the freeway from SR-73 to I-605 that will combine with the existing carpool lanes to form the 405 Express Lanes.
To help people access information about the largest project under construction in California, OCTA launched a comprehensive website at the same time.
Now, OCTA has taken lessons learned from the original site’s nearly 2,000 visitors to offer an updated portal that’s more engaging and efficient, with easier-to-access information. Visitors will find less text and a clearer path to the most requested items, including maps, closures, detours, and construction information. Community benefits are also front and center.
