Learn about the Proposed I-5/El Toro Road Interchange Project

Join Caltrans and OCTA at two public hearings to learn about the proposed I-5 El Toro Road Interchange Project, ask questions of the project team, and share comments.

The project would address congestion and enhance freeway operations at the I-5 El Toro Road Interchange in the cities of Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, and Lake Forest by modifying on- and off-ramps to southbound and northbound I-5 from El Toro Road.

The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow, optimize traffic signalization, improve traffic mobility through adjacent local street intersections, reduce traffic backups on freeway ramps, and apply technology to help manage traffic demand.
