OCTA’s Youth Ride Free Pass is a popular way for those 6 to 18 to get around Orange County. Since launching it as a pilot program in 2021, OCTA has recorded more than 5.1 million boardings.
In 2022, the pioneering Youth Ride Free Pass became permanent, making OCTA the first large transit agency in the region to offer free bus rides to all youth ages 6 to 18 on an ongoing basis.
