Wilderness Management Plan Review Opportunity Will End Soon

Since 2011, OCTA has purchased seven open space properties to preserve the land and permanently ensure that valuable animal and plant species can thrive for generations. Part of the Measure M Environmental Mitigation Program, these purchases offset the impacts of construction on 13 Measure M freeway projects being built throughout Orange County.

The opportunity to review Resource Management Plans (RMPS) for five of the properties (Ferber Ranch, O'Neill Oaks, Hafen, Saddle Creek South, and MacPherson) will end on Feb. 8 following a 90-day comment period. These RMPS provide guidelines for the management and monitoring of the preserves and address the care of natural plants and wildlife, fire prevention, and recreational use of each site by the general public where and when appropriate.

Your feedback is important. You can review the plans and comment online by visiting OCTA.net/RMP.
