Volunteer to Keep an Eye on Transportation Tax Dollars

We’re looking for qualified volunteers to serve on the Taxpayer Oversight Committee (TOC) to monitor OCTA’s use of Measure M funds and ensure that all revenue collected from Measure M is spent on voter-approved transportation projects. Members help keep an eye on tax dollars.

The application deadline for the 2016-2019 term is May 2 to fill four positions on the 11-member committee, one each in the First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Districts. Orange County residents residing in the First, Third, Fourth or Fifth District are eligible to apply. Please note that elected or appointed city, district, state or federal officials are not eligible to serve on the TOC.

The First District consists of the cities of Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Westminster, portions of Fountain Valley and the unincorporated community of Midway City.

The Third District consists of the cities of Orange, Tustin, Villa Park, Yorba Linda and portions of Anaheim, Irvine and Mission Viejo. It also includes the unincorporated areas of El Modena, Fairlynn, North Tustin, Cowan Heights, Crawford Canyon, Lemon Heights, Panorama Heights, Olive, Orange Park Acres, Modjeska Canyon, Santiago Canyon, Silverado Canyon, and Trabuco Canyon (north of Trabuco Creek Rd.).

The Fourth District consists of the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia and portions of Buena Park.

The Fifth District consists of the cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, the community of Newport Coast, as well as the unincorporated areas of Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, and Wagon Wheel.
