Two Ways to Explore OCTA’s Wilderness Preserve

This fall, get back to nature by visiting OCTA’s beautiful wilderness property. There are two free guided tours -- by horseback this Saturday, Sept. 26, and by foot on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Both traverse Trabuco Canyon, one of seven properties acquired by OCTA as part of the Measure M Freeway Environmental Mitigation Program, a comprehensive plan that preserves and restores natural habitats and allows for expedited delivery of freeway projects. The other six properties are located in Brea, Silverado Canyon, and Laguna Beach. The seven properties total more than 1,300 acres.

OCTA’s acquisition of this property protects several vital wildlife movement corridors, ensures the preservation of high-quality habitat, and allows this core segment of Trabuco Canyon to be permanently protected. Come see for yourself how nature is thriving in Orange County.

Hikers and riders must be over age 12 and sign a liability waiver. Space is limited. Register online or contact OCTA Public Outreach Manager Marissa Espino at 714-560-5607 to join us.
