Awareness of OCTA is at an all-time high, according to a recent public survey showing that 88.3 percent of Orange County residents are familiar with OCTA. This is the highest rating since OCTA began tracking the information in 2004. In addition, survey participants gave OCTA high marks for its impact on the economy, trustworthiness, and transportation improvements.
More than 2,500 adult Orange County residents responded to the survey, which is conducted approximately every three years to measure the awareness and perceptions of OCTA and to gather input for the Long-Range Transportation Plan.
Survey results show that public awareness of OCTA increased by 4 percent since the last study in 2015.
Priorities expressed for the future include fixing freeway bottlenecks, repairing roadways and potholes, synchronizing traffic signals, widening roads, and expanding commuter rail service.
