In contrast to most of Orange County and the world, when the pandemic hit, OCTA kept moving. It was OCTA’s job to continue providing safe, reliable transportation for essential workers to reach jobs in healthcare, food services, emergency services and elsewhere.
To accomplish this, OCTA needed to make sure coach operators, maintenance and administrative employees remained healthy and informed. OCTA tackled this challenge by creating an internal communications program to provide an employee care experience in support of OCTA’s operational and administrative response efforts.
OCTA’s successful internal response to the pandemic was recently recognized with a PROTOS Award from the Orange County Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (OCPRSA).
The annual awards celebrate exceptional public relations and communications work and professionals.
