Two very different organizations – the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and the National Procurement Institute – have honored OCTA with awards.
Two campaigns from OCTA’s marketing department took first-place awards in APTA’s 2015 AdWheel Awards competition. This is the fourth award for the Three Feet for Safety Video, which successfully uses humor to educate drivers about the recent California law that requires automobile drivers to give bicyclists at least three feet of space when passing in the same direction. The other winner was for cost-effective digital display ads at Angel Stadium that encouraged ridership on the Angels Express.

For the fifth consecutive year, OCTA’s procurement team has earned the 2015 Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Procurement Institute. OCTA is one of only 49 agencies in California and one of only 28 special districts in the U.S. and Canada to receive it.
