Working in collaboration with the State and Federal wildlife agencies, OC Go's Environmental Mitigation Program allocates funds to acquire land and fund habitat restoration projects to offset the environmental impacts and streamline the approval of OC Go freeway projects. OCTA has purchased seven conservation properties (Preserves) and funded 12 habitat restoration projects and established an endowment for the long-term management of the Preserves. In addition, a conservation plan was developed to guide the management of the program. The annual report on the implementation process was published in July and is available here.
