OCTA Coach Operator Darvy Traylor recently earned second place overall at the 2026 American Public Transportation Association (APTA) International Bus Roadeo in Salt Lake City, one of the transit industry's premier competitions recognizing excellence among bus operators and maintenance personnel from across North America.
The event featured 80 bus operators, 49 maintenance teams, and 40 combined teams competing in a variety of driving, safety and repair challenges. In addition to his second-place finish, Traylor received the Pre-Trip Inspection Award, recognizing excellence in vehicle inspection and safety procedures.
Traylor's performance reflects the professionalism, skill and commitment to safety that characterize OCTA's bus operations and the dedication of the employees who serve Orange County every day.
