OCTA Board Sets Transportation Goals for 2017

Each year, the OCTA Board of Directors unveils strategic initiatives that help deliver transportation solutions for Orange County. For 2017, the initiatives focus on advancing capital projects, improving the transit system to better meet the county’s needs and maximizing funding opportunities.

The strategic initiatives include:

  • Breaking ground on the I-405 Improvement Project; advancing the SR-55 project
  • Continuing to implement the OC Bus 360° program
  • Advancing the OC Streetcar project
  • Integrating technology solutions
  • Ensuring fiscal sustainability

“From breaking ground on the agency’s largest project in history to enhancing our transit system, OCTA will be hard at work this year improving mobility throughout the county,” said Board Chair Michael Hennessey. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to help implement these initiatives and keep Orange County residents, visitors and business moving.”

OCTA celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2016, a remarkable year in which the Board’s strategic initiatives created a roadmap for addressing the county’s many transportation needs. To view a short video of last year’s accomplishments, click here.
