The City Selection Committee met on November 5 and held elections to appoint five members to the OCTA Board. All incumbent board members were reappointed, including: Garden Grove Mayor Pro Tem, Steve Jones, 1st Supervisorial District, Huntington Beach Mayor Pro Tem, Jim Katapodis, 2nd Supervisorial District, Tustin Council Member, Al Murray, 3rd Supervisorial District, Anaheim Mayor, Tom Tait, 4th Supervisorial District, and Mission Viejo Council Member, Frank Ury, 5th Supervisorial District. Each will serve a two-year term from January 2016 to December 2017.
The OCTA Board includes 17 elected members and the Caltrans District 12 director, who serves as a non-voting member.
The City Selection Committee is comprised of mayors from each of Orange County's 34 cities and is administered by the County of Orange Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. The committee makes appointments to regional boards and commissions like OCTA and others.
