OC Bus Debuts Money-saving Welcome Passes

New bus passes designed to save riders up to 40 percent are now available via the OC Bus Mobile App and at retail outlets.

Welcome Passes offer two ways to save:

• Five one-day Welcome Passes are only $15 ($10 savings)
• A 30-day Welcome Pass costs only $40 ($29 savings)

Welcome Passes are only good for use between August 15 and November 15, 2021. Once activated, the 30-day Welcome Pass must be used for 30 consecutive days during this time period.

Additional bus trips and more frequent service will be available on OC Bus on August 15 as part of the August Service Change, including:

• 289 additional bus trips throughout the county
• Improved frequency of service on 14 routes
• Improved hours of operation with earlier and/or later service on 19 routes
• Two restored routes suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Welcome Passes are part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment — particularly in disadvantaged communities.
