Octa's transportation blog

Now Live: A New and Improved OCTA Website

Each month, Orange County residents, businesses, and government officials interact with the OCTA website nearly two million times, accessing important transportation news and information. From helpful guides on navigating OC by bus and Metrolink to freeway construction updates to comprehensive overviews of projects funded by Measure M, the county’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements, the OCTA website is packed with useful and relevant information.

Launched on August 31, a completely redesigned OCTA website was introduced that makes discovering all things transportation easier than ever. Based on findings from a comprehensive assessment, the redesigned site delivers improved readability and navigation across all devices.

This is particularly important because smartphone visits have skyrocketed in the past few years, and industry experts predict that they will continue to grow. To provide a positive and productive experience, websites must be optimized to resize and reorganize content according to the type and size of a user’s device. The new OCTA site has been built to offer this capability now and in the future.

All pages on the new site have been thoughtfully redesigned for greater efficiency. Visitors will be able to take immediate action for tasks such as trip planning while viewing popular content and snapshots of all of OCTA’s initiatives and campaigns.
