Last week, CEO Darrell Johnson attended the leading conference for public transportation professionals in Atlanta. The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Conference and Expo attracted nearly 17,000 attendees and provided an essential opportunity to learn, share, connect and explore important industry-related topics such as transformative technology, community building, innovative funding and finance, safety, and workforce development.
While there, Johnson met with Jane Williams, Deputy Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), to discuss the status of OC Streetcar. Earlier this year, OC Streetcar was approved by the FTA into the New Starts Engineering phase.
In addition, during the closing ceremonies Johnson enticed his fellow transportation professionals to visit Orange County for the 2020 APTA Conference and Expo using an OCTA-produced video that showcases the excitement, fun, and transportation diversity of Orange County.
