Last week, OCTA representatives attended an annual conference that offers critical economic indicator insight to the leading business, government and academic leaders in Orange County. Directors Lisa Bartlett, Laurie Davies, Gene Hernandez, Richard Murphy, and CEO Darrell Johnson attended the 25th Annual Economic Forecast Conference hosted by the Orange County Business Council and California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). The focus of this year’s conference was “Deal or No Deal: The Art of Business in an Aging Expansion.”
Keynote speaker Joseph Otting, U.S. Comptroller of the Currency and Acting Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, discussed the state of the national economy. Dr. Anil Puri and Dr. Mira Farka, both from CSUF, focused on the performance of national and local economies and provided a generally optimistic forecast for the near future.
