It’s Back! Service Animal Training Day Is October 2

One of the only programs of its kind in the country, OCTA’s Service Animal Training Day encourages participants to board and ride OC Buses and Metrolink trains again and again. When service animals are comfortable with the sounds, movement and layout of a bus or train, it increases the independence and confidence of their handlers.

Usually, OCTA conducts this event twice a year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the popular programs were cancelled.

OCTA will once again go to the dogs on Oct. 2, 2021, when Service Animal Training Day returns to the Anaheim-ARTIC Metrolink station. Participants will have the opportunity to enrich their training programs with free rides on OC Bus, including the sights and sounds of Downtown Disney District and Anaheim Garden Walk. Metrolink train rides are also available; standard Metrolink fares apply. Register online or at the event.

Free parking is available at the venue.

Please remember to wear a face covering when waiting for and riding public transportation.
