Hikes and Equestrian Rides Postponed

Portions of seven open space properties purchased through OCTA’s Freeway Environmental Mitigation Program for preservation to offset the impacts of construction are available several times a year for public hikes and equestrian rides, both guided by OCTA staff.

However, OCTA is currently postponing all hikes and equestrian rides until further notice as a safety measure during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. OCTA continues to follow health agency guidelines and is taking a cautious approach to ensure the health and safety of our employees and the community. Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time.

The Sept. 12 hike and Sept. 27 equestrian have been canceled. The status of the November hike and ride events will be determined at a later date. OCTA looks forward to being out in the community again and reopening the hike and ride events as soon as it is safe to do so. For more information, contact Marissa Espino at
