Hike and Bike OC Parks

With the unofficial start of summer following Memorial Day, it’s time to get out andexplore beautiful Orange County by foot and pedal.

OC Parks offers an extensive regional trail system with hundreds of miles of unpaved trails and paved bikeways. Information is available on the website and in this regional trail brochure. The system offers great recreational and commuting opportunities.

One of the most recent places to explore is Saddleback Wilderness. Located within OC Parks’ Irvine Ranch Open Space, Saddleback Wilderness features 3.3 miles of new trails for hiking, biking and equestrian use, along with a scenic overlook that offers panoramic views of Orange County and the Pacific Ocean.

OCTA encourages active transportation, which is any form of human-powered transportation that promotes physical activity including walking, biking, skating, using a wheelchair, and accessing public transportation. Visit here for biking and hiking safety tips and other useful information.
