Get Back to Nature with an Equestrian Ride

On August 27, OCTA will host another in its series of free excursions to permanently protected open space preserves. Saddle up your own horse and join us for a ride through the Ferber Ranch Preserve in Trabuco Canyon.

Ferber Ranch is one of seven properties acquired by OCTA as part of the Measure M Freeway Environmental Mitigation Program, a comprehensive plan that preserves and restores natural habitats and allows for expedited delivery of freeway projects. The properties are located in Trabuco Canyon, Brea, Silverado Canyon, and Laguna Beach. Together, they total more than 1,300 acres.

With nearly 400 acres of rolling terrain, Ferber Ranch is bordered on the north by the Cleveland National Forest and on the south by Trabuco Creek. The native habitat, full of coastal sage scrub, oak woodland, and chaparral, offers a protected environment for the coastal California gnatcatcher and cactus wren.

Space is limited for this special opportunity to access these pristine open spaces. Please reserve your space today.

The next excursion will be held in October.
