Diverse Community Leaders Meet with OCTA CEO

Composed of business, social and faith leaders from Orange County’s diverse communities, the Diverse Community Leaders group meets quarterly to discuss OCTA’s programs and services and share their ideas and concerns.

During the group’s September meeting, OCTA CEO Darrell Johnson provided an update on how OCTA is emerging from the pandemic, the status of the OC Go Next 10 Delivery Plan and the upcoming availability of OC Go funding for local street improvement projects. OC Go, also known as Measure M, is Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.

To commemorate Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, attendees watched an informational video about this cultural celebration and shared in recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture and achievements of the United States. Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month is celebrated September 15 to October 15 to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic/Latinx American champions who have inspired others to achieve success.
