Designed to allow Orange County to keep pace with expected job, housing and population growth along a 16-mile corridor, the 405 Improvement Project will provide safe and reliable multimodal travel throughout the region. On target to finish in late 2023, OCTA’s largest project involves six cities, employs approximately 1,000 workers per day, and builds 18 bridges, 11 new bike lanes and 11 new sidewalks.
Inside the 405, a series of nine videos, celebrates that the project is 75 percent complete. The videos showcase completed bridges and on- and off-ramps; the community outreach team and their methods for sharing project information including outreach to the local Vietnamese and Latinx communities; and the 405 Forward Program, which is focused on supporting local businesses throughout the corridor.
The short, informative videos are available here and have reached more than 31,875 viewers to keep Orange County informed about what’s happening inside the 405.
