OCTA executive staff recently hosted Eric Soskin, Inspector General – Office of Inspector General – U.S. Department of Transportation, who was in Southern California on unrelated business.
Soskin was given a general overview of OCTA and its projects and programs. The group discussed OCTA’s federal funding partnerships with the Federal Transit Administration for the OC Streetcar Project, as well as the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan program as part of the I-405 Improvement Project.
OCTA Internal Auditor Janet Sutter also provided an overview of the Internal Audit office, its roles and responsibilities, the reporting structure and annual audit plan. Following the in-person meeting, staff provided a site tour of the OC Streetcar Project and Soskin had the opportunity to personally see the construction activity underway.
