Every year, the Golden Dragon Parade in Los Angeles is a highlight of the Lunar New festivities for many Orange County residents. The parade is full of elaborate decorations and performances and winds its way through Chinatown past food trucks, a beer garden, and child-friendly entertainment like face painting and paper folding.
The event is great for the whole family, and riding Metrolink adds to the fun. To help people celebrate, Metrolink will add extra trains on Saturday, February 4 for those attending the parade from Orange County. It’s a great way to avoid traffic and parking hassles and enjoy a relaxing ride.
To make the event even more special, OCTA is offering two opportunities to ride Metrolink free to the Golden Dragon Parade.
For a chance to win two free round-trip tickets, go online by January 25 and fill out the entry form. Winners will be announced on January 25. Please act quickly because this offer ends soon.
Free tickets will also be available to the first 100 attendees at OCTA’s kick-off event at the Irvine Metrolink Station at 8 a.m. on February 4. Following a traditional lion dance and refreshments, parade-goers will hop on a train to Los Angeles.
