As part of its commitment to active transportation, OCTA is encouraging everyone to take part in Bike Month in May by pledging to ride a bicycle – for commuting, for fun, or for fitness – as part of a countywide celebration of active transportation.
This year’s “Every Ride is Your Story” campaign encourages participants to ride at least once during May. Those who pledge online will be entered to win a commuter e-bike prize package, sponsored by Ferla and Spectrumotion.
“Whether you’re commuting to work, taking a weekend ride with your family, or exploring one of Orange County’s beautiful bikeways, Bike Month is a great time to hop on a bike,” said OCTA Chair Doug Chaffee, also the county’s Fourth District Supervisor. “Riding a bike is a fun and healthy way to travel, and every ride contributes to cleaner air in our communities.”
Bike Month highlights include:
- Win a Commuter E-Bike Package
Pledge to ride in May for a chance to win an Avant Agile E-Bike (worth $1,499) plus a helmet, child helmet, lock, and baby seat.
