Pre-Event Gathering for Whale Watchers Will Help Them Catch the Metrolink Wave

OCTA will hold a kick-off event March 7 at the Orange Metrolink Station for adventurers on their way to the first day of the Festival of Whales. There will be free Metrolink tickets for the first 50 people and food, music, and games for all. After enjoying the festivities, riders can board the train for San Juan Capistrano and then take an easy bus ride to Dana Point. Bus transfers are free with a Metrolink ticket.

Metrolink moves past traffic and eliminates parking hassles, making it the ideal transportation alternative to Festival of Whales events on two consecutive weekends (March 7-8 and 14-15). During the festival, many discounts are available to those who show a Metrolink ticket, OCTA bus pass, or 91 Express Lanes transponder.

Travel to the Festival of Whales and other great destinations is made more affordable by the Metrolink Weekend Day Pass, which offers unlimited travel either Saturday or Sunday throughout the entire Metrolink system for only $10.
