St. Joseph Hospital has joined a group of major Orange County employers participating in OCTA's Employer Pass (E-Pass) program. St. Joseph's Hospital is expanding their rideshare benefits to employees by enrolling in the E-Pass program. The hospital is served by multiple bus routes, including Routes 53, 56 and 83, with connecting service to the nearby train station.
The E-Pass program, exclusive to companies with 25 or more regular bus riders, features a swipe-card that can be used on any local OCTA bus. Employees swipe their E-Pass as they board the bus, OCTA tracks the boardings, and the company receives a monthly billing summary. From there, employers can choose to subsidize all or part of the amount billed. Not only does the program provide an easy way for employees to get to work, but it is also easy to administer and provides tax benefit opportunities for both employees and companies.
Other E-Pass participants include Disney, Marriott, St. John Knits and the County of Orange, to name a few.
