OCTA Participates in State Transportation Conference

On Sept. 5, OCTA participated in the 13th Annual Mobility 21 Southern California Transportation Summit at the Disneyland Hotel. This is the largest one-day transportation conference in the state with more than 1,000 attendees including transportation CEO’s from throughout Southern California along with policy makers and nationally known transportation experts.

OCTA Chairman Shawn Nelson and Vice Chair Jeffrey Lalloway along with Directors Gary Miller, Al Murray, Miguel Pulido, Tom Tait, Todd Spitzer, Greg Winterbottom and CEO Darrell Johnson were all in attendance.

Vice Chair Lalloway provided opening remarks and CEO Johnson sat on a panel with other transportation CEO’s to discuss approaches to workforce development, managing generations and succession planning. Johnson also participated in a breakout session titled “The Future of Tolling and Road Pricing Policies for California: Why It Matters,” where he discussed OCTA’s experience as owners of the 91 Express Lanes.
