OCTA Leaders Recognized at ACEC Orange County Engineering Excellence Awards

OCTA leaders were recognized at the 2026 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Orange County Engineering Excellence Awards, highlighting their contributions to advancing transportation and infrastructure improvements throughout Orange County.


OCTA Board Chair Jamey M. Federico received the Elected Official Award for his leadership and commitment to improving mobility for Orange County residents. Federico also serves as a Dana Point councilmember.
Senior Project Manager Josue Vaglienty was honored with the Inspiring Leader Award, recognizing his leadership in delivering transportation improvements and fostering collaboration among project teams, agency partners and stakeholders.


The annual awards program was emceed by OCTA CEO Darrell E. Johnson and brought together engineering professionals, public agency leaders and industry partners to celebrate innovation and engineering excellence across the county.


In addition to OCTA’s individual honorees, the City of Santa Ana received the Client of the Year Award. The award was accepted by Mayor Valerie Amezcua, who also serves on the OCTA Board of Directors.
