OCTA Helps WTS Students Understand the Transportation Industry

For the eighth year, OCTA hosted students from the Transportation Academy sponsored by The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) of Orange County. The academy educates undergraduate and graduate college students on different facets of the transportation industry.

During the virtual presentation on August 3 to 30 students, CEO Darrell E. Johnson, Deputy CEO Jennifer L. Bergener, and staff member panelists Rose Casey, Director of Capital Programs, Adriann Cardoso, Department Manager, Programming, Marissa Espino, Community Relations Specialist, Principal and Kelly Hart, Project Manager, Operations shared information about their backgrounds and the transportation industry.

Rotating breakout sessions allowed students to interact with each panelist following general introductions. Attendees also viewed OCTA’s 30th Anniversary video and the OC Streetcar Rail Pull Milestone video to get a sense of OCTA’s accomplishments and what it takes to move capital projects forward in Orange County.
