OC Flex, OCTA’s local on-demand, shared ride shuttle service, is a great car-free option for commuting, fun, errands and other local trips in parts of Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo.
Through a combination of digital advertising, direct mail and outreach, local residents learned about a special promotion offering a 50 percent discount on group rides. When journeys were booked through the OC Flex app, two riders could ride for only $4.50 a day, for example.
After hearing about the offer at concerts in the park, summer movies, local libraries and more, local travelers boosted OC Flex ridership by 43 percent compared to the previous year. Based on this success, OCTA will offer a holiday promotion between November and December.
