Picture this: California beach town famous for its amazing surf holds its free annual family-friendly festival full of water-sports competitions, great food, a sand sculpting contest and much more. Awesome!
Add in an expected attendance of more than 60,000 with the resulting traffic and parking issues.
Still awesome! Why? Because the Metrolink station is right next to the festival.
There are three great ways to get to the San Clemente Ocean Festival on July 19 and 20. Two are free and one involves minimal cost. All feature a Metrolink train that surfs by traffic and eliminates parking hassles and fees.
Those who live near Fullerton can start the fun on July 19 at an OCTA event at the Fullerton Transportation Center featuring free Metrolink tickets for the first 50 people, great food and music. The party starts at 8:30 a.m. and continues until everyone hops on the 9:23 a.m. train to San Clemente Pier.
Free tickets are also available through a special sweepstakes promotion that awards two Metrolink tickets to each winner. Participants can increase their chances by sharing with friends.
For everyone else, there’s the cost-effective $10 Metrolink Weekend Day Pass. It’s good everywhere Metrolink travels all day either Saturday or Sunday. Learn more.
