OCTA is hosting monthly webinars from the Association of Bicycle and Pedestrian Professionals (APBP) on bike and pedestrian issues. The 90-minute webinars focus on the engineering, encouragement, education, enforcement, and evaluation for bike and pedestrian projects.
City staff, advocates and stakeholders are invited to join OCTA for the webinar viewings at designated locations.
The next webinar, about electric assist bikes and transportation policy, will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Newport Beach Civic Center. After the webinar is completed, attendees can participate in a 30-minute discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of these bikes on a local level.
