The Taxpayer Oversight Committee (TOC) will conduct the 34th annual Measure M Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 10. Measure M is Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.
The independent, 11-member oversight committee monitors OCTA’s use of Measure M funding, approves all changes to the Measure M Investment Plan (Plan) and holds an annual public hearing to determine whether OCTA is proceeding in accordance with the Plan.
During the hearing, the TOC will review major committee actions and listen to public comments relating to the implementation of Measure M. To learn more about the hearing and how to submit comments, visit here.
For the past 34 years, Measure M has funded hundreds of local projects that improve life in Orange County every day, including freeway enhancements, traffic light signal synchronization for more efficient travel, street and intersection improvements that make Orange County roads among the best in the state, and improvements to Metrolink commuter rail service in Orange County.
The hearing begins at 6 p.m. at OCTA headquarters.
