Calling it “a completely new traveling dynamic for this stretch of freeway,” HBTV 3 of Huntington Beach featured an overview of the I-405 Improvement Project in a recent Surf City Highlights video. Huntington Beach is one of the cities adjacent to the 16-mile project, the largest in OCTA’s history, which will add one regular lane in each direction from Euclid Street to I-605. It will also construct the 405 Express Lanes from SR-73 to I-605.
The video provides a project overview, interviews with residents at a recent open house, and highlights of OCTA’s outreach efforts, observing, “The goal of OCTA has always been a proactive approach” when it comes to including all community members. OCTA Director Barbara Delgleize, also a Huntington Beach councilmember, makes a cameo appearance, and Christina Byrne, OCTA Public Outreach Department Manager, is interviewed. Enjoy the video here.
