Help Plan Orange County’s Transportation Future

To plan for Orange County’s evolving transportation needs, OCTA updates a Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) every four years. The LRTP will address key challenges, including evolving travel trends, aging infrastructure, funding uncertainties, and climate-related risks to help the county prepare for the future and keep people and businesses moving efficiently through 2050.

The project takes into account a range of transportation modes, including streets, freeways, public transit such as buses and streetcars, and active transportation like cycling and walking. The finished plan will help advance the regional vision for enhanced transportation options.

“The Long-Range Transportation Plan will help us prepare for Orange County’s future mobility needs by assessing growth trends and identifying the best ways to invest in our transportation network,” said OCTA Chair Doug Chaffee, also the Chair of the Orange County Board of Supervisors and Fourth District Supervisor. “We want to hear directly from those who use our roads, buses, trains, and bikeways every day to help shape a vision that serves our entire county.”

As it plans for the future, OCTA is requesting public input through an online survey.

The survey is live through November 9 and includes a chance to win a $50 gift card.  Share your opinions here
