On Saturday, Feb. 4, OCTA and Metrolink provided free bus and train rides to celebrate Transit Equity Day, which commemorates the birthday of Rosa Parks and her historic efforts to keep public transportation equitable for everyone.
OCTA recorded nearly 65,000 boardings compared to approximately 61,000 boardings the previous Saturday, an increase of approximately 6%.
Metrolink recorded nearly 9,000 boardings compared to nearly 2,000 the previous Saturday, a 365% increase.
