On Oct. 29, OCTA and local officials gathered to kick off a new Metrolink station in Placentia which is expected to be a key contributor to the revitalization of the downtown area.
Director Tim Shaw spoke about the success of Metrolink in Orange County and OCTA’s commitment to providing station options and improvements that serve both commuters and those making weekend trips. OCTA Director Greg Winterbottom and CEO Darrell Johnson were also on hand to celebrate the new Metrolink station, which will be the 12th in Orange County.
The next step is the demotion of a former orange packing house on the site at Crowther Avenue. Station platform construction will most likely start at the end of 2015.
