Five Members Appointed to the OCTA Board of Directors for 2024

The Orange County City Selection Committee met earlier this month to appoint five members to the OCTA Board of Directors. Yorba Linda Mayor Gene Hernandez, currently serving as OCTA’s Chairman of the Board, was re-selected to continue serving with OCTA. The remaining four appointees are new to the OCTA Board.

The selections are as follows:

  • 1st Supervisorial District – One City/One Vote Seat

Garden Grove Council Member Stephanie Klopfenstein was selected for a term expiring December 2025.

  • 2nd Supervisorial District – Population Weighted Seat

Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua was selected for a term expiring December 2025.

  • 3rd Supervisorial District – One City/One Vote Seat

Yorba Linda Mayor Gene Hernandez was re-selected for a term expiring December 2025.

  • 4th Supervisorial District – Population Weighted Vote Seat

Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken was selected for a term expiring December 2025.

  • 5th Supervisorial District – Population Weighted Vote Seat

Costa Mesa Mayor John Stephens was selected for a term expiring December 2025.

The Orange County City Selection Committee is comprised of mayors from each of Orange County's 34 cities and is administered by the County of Orange Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.
