Get ready for an extra hour of sleep! Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014. At that time, the clocks will fall back one hour.
Smartphones with automatic date and time settings should change on their own. For all other clocks, it's recommended to set them back one hour before going to bed on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Buses and trains will follow their regular schedules. Just don't forget to switch your clocks!

Interesting Stats on Daylight Saving Time:
- The idea was first conceived by Benjamin Franklin in 1784.
- Daylight Saving Time was established in the US in 1918 although some states stopped observing it only a year later.
- The Uniform Time Act of 1966 re-established Daylight Saving Time throughout the county.
- Since the 1960s, Congress has expanded the length of Daylight Saving Time three times to further conserve energy. It now encompasses March into November.
- Hawaii and most of Arizona do not follow Daylight Saving Time.
- Approximately 70 countries in the world observe Daylight Saving Time: some simply refer to it as "Summer Time".
