The deadline to submit comments on Metrolink’s Serra Siding Extension Project Notice of Preparation (NOP) has been extended to Monday, May 10, 2021. The project proposes to extend 1.2 miles of railroad siding track from Victoria Boulevard to Beach Road in the City of Dana Point and replace the existing single-track railroad bridge over Coast Highway with two single-track bridges.
The proposed project, which is in the environmental phase, would provide safer and more reliable train service. Metrolink is preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and is seeking comments regarding the scope and content of the document.
