CEO Shares Sustainable Bus Progress

While participating virtually in a transportation conference hosted by the California Foundation on the Environment and the Economy (CFEE), CEO Darrell Johnson shared OCTA’s industry-leading efforts with its zero emission bus pilot programs.

OCTA is working to convert its entire fleet of OC Buses to zero emission buses by 2040. Both hydrogen fuel cell electric buses and plug-in battery-electric buses are being tested to determine which best meet OCTA’s needs related to operations, maintenance and cost, among other factors.

In addition, OCTA operates the largest hydrogen fueling station in the country to support its growing fleet of fuel cell electric buses.
