The leading transportation industry association recently honored OCTA with two awards for marketing materials that help increase ridership.
Conducted by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), the AdWheel Awards are considered the gold standard in recognizing transportation-related marketing communications.
OCTA garnered two first-place awards. The printed OC Flex group ride brochure, distributed to 32,000+ homes in the service zone and approximately 800 people at outreach events, helped increase ridership by 43 percent. The other winner, a comprehensive campaign that shared information about the OC Bus Savings Pass using ads on buses, social media, flyers and a dedicated web page, resulted in more than 406,000 boardings, the majority in disadvantaged communities.
