OCTA is seeking applicants for the Taxpayer Oversight Committee (TOC), an independent 11-member committee that monitors OCTA’s use of revenue collected through OC Go, also known as Measure M, the county’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.
Members of the OC Go Taxpayer Oversight Committee (TOC) monitor OCTA’s use of OC Go funds and ensure that all revenue collected from OC Go is spent on voter-approved transportation projects.
Two openings are available for representatives living in the Second and Third Supervisorial Districts. OCTA is seeking qualified volunteers to serve in these positions.
Applications are due by May 5, 2023. with final selection taking place at the OCTA Board of Directors meeting on June 26, 2023.
Orange County residents living in the Second and Third Supervisorial Districts are eligible to apply.
The Second District consists of the cities of Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin, portions of Anaheim, Garden Grove, the unincorporated community of North Tustin.
The Third District consists of the cities of Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Villa Park, Yorba Linda, portions of Anaheim, Irvine, Orange, Tustin, the unincorporated communities of Modjeska, Silverado, Trabuco Canyon, Williams Canyon, and a portion of the unincorporated community of North Tustin.
Applicants must be at least 18 and willing to serve for a three-year term. In their applications, potential committee members should demonstrate a history of participation in community activities and knowledge of transportation. Elected or appointed city, district, county, state or federal officials are not eligible to serve.
