Angels Express Ridership Still Strong

Halfway into its third season of service, ridership on the Angels Express train service has climbed to more than 23,000 boardings, putting it on track to meet or exceed the record-breaking totals of last season.

The Angels Express provides round-trip service to all Angels weekday home games beginning at 7:05 p.m. from as far away as Los Angeles or Oceanside. Angels Express service also is offered from Riverside for every Friday night game.

Round-trip tickets for the Angels Express are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for youths (ages 6 to 18) and free for up to three children ages 5 and younger with each fare-paying adult.

Ridership has continued to grow despite a slow start to the Angels’ season. However, the Angels are making strides to get back into playoff contention in the American League.

Take the Angels Express this Thursday, August 1 or Friday, August 2 to see the Angels take on the Blue Jays.

The Angels Express is a partnership of OCTA and Metrolink in cooperation with the Riverside County Transportation Commission, LA Metro and the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee, which provides funding to projects that remove vehicles from the roadways resulting in reduced emissions.
