The free San Clemente Ocean Festival returns July 16 and 17 with water sports competitions in swimming, surfing, boating and running and fishing, a pancake breakfast, concert, sand sculpture contest and rubber ducky race as well as the beauty of the San Clemente beach.
Metrolink is the best way to get there. The festival is within walking distance of the train station, and you’ll avoid traffic and parking hassles to and from the water fun.
Traveling to San Clemente is simple and inexpensive from anywhere in Southern California. Just pick up a $10 Metrolink Weekend Day Pass at any Metrolink station kiosk or use the easy mobile Metrolink app. The pass is good for unlimited rides Saturday or Sunday wherever Metrolink travels.
Other Metrolink discounts include 25 percent off for students (show your ID) and youths ages 6 to 18. Up to three kids 5 and under ride free with an adult using a valid ticket – each additional child pays youth fare.
