Are you looking for a way to get around this summer? The City of San Clemente is bringing back its weekend trolley service, and residents of all ages are encouraged to hop aboard starting this weekend.
The San Clemente Trolley is a free public transportation ride service that regularly runs from Memorial Day weekend to the last Sunday in September. According to the city, the system is made up of two routes: a Downtown Red Line and a North San Clemente Blue Line.
Funding for the San Clemente Trolley service came from a grant from the Orange County Transportation Authority, according to the city. The grant covers much of the cost to operate the trolley, and the City of San Clemente pays for the rest.
Daily trolley services begins May 27, and residents interested in riding the trolley can check out the city's website for more information on route maps, schedules and a trolley tracker.
