Good news for Irvine-area employees and employers: Through a partnership with the City of Irvine, OCTA is adding two new iShuttle bus routes to expand service and provide additional coverage to residential communities and places of employment in Irvine. Service begins February 11.
The bright green-and-blue iShuttles will be available at the Irvine and Tustin Metrolink stations during peak hours. Timed to meet Metrolink trains, iShuttles will wait up to 15 minutes if a train is running late to get riders to work.
From Tustin Station:
Route 405F covers areas southwest of the station with the last section circulating counterclockwise near Gillette and Armstrong. Key employers along the route include The District, Cummins, Fox Racing, Collins Aerospace, Harvest Orange County, St. John Knits, Baxter Healthcare, and more. Stops also include Amalfi Apartment Homes across from The District.
From Irvine Station:
Route 404E covers areas south and east of the station, ending at the Los Olivos Apartments off Irvine Center Drive. Key employers along the route include Broadcom, Five Point Communities, Wyland Worldwide, Tropitone Furniture, Auto Nation, Toyota, Visio, and more.
The iShuttle is one of the most inexpensive ways to complete the journey to work from Metrolink. Transfers from Metrolink are free with a valid Metrolink pass/ticket.
Additional iShuttle routes are available from both stations.
The iShuttle is provided by the City of Irvine and operated and managed by OCTA. Learn more about iShuttle here.
