Trolleys Connect Easily with Summer Fun

During the summer, Orange County’s popular destinations experience an increase in visits. Cities such as Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, San Clemente, and San Juan Capistrano attract both residents and tourists to their beaches, shops, festivals, and more.

To help manage seasonal congestion on the streets, several cities, including Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, San Clemente, and San Juan Capistrano offer free trolley services partially funded by Measure M. Measure M is Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements, putting tax dollars to work locally.

These trolleys offer convenient, accessible transportation options that connect key destinations, beaches, shops, parks, and festivals. Some also connect to Metrolink stations, allowing riders to travel greater distances without driving. In many cases, visitors can leave their cars behind entirely and rely on public transportation to explore everything these cities have to offer.

The summer trolleys operate from late May through Labor Day, with some routes extending into late September.
